Check the tack welds on the tube first & second, check all the nuts holding
the pedals to the firewall are snug. From the sounds of the pedal feeling
fine, I would back up the argument that the tack welds prolly broke... Definitely
take it out to weld it back, there's about 10-12 nuts holding the pedal
cluster and steering column up. The bad part is that you gotta dissasemble the
master cylinder bracket & booster to the get pedals out. At least you get to
bleed your breaks and go over them though, right?? heh
