Audio question Bazookas

Car audio was a big thing back then. I was an installer. I take offense to
that comment!! ;-)
But..., there were not a lot of pre-made cabinet solutions. I think bass
tubes started to appear in the very early 90's.

For my MKI's, I used a wood deck in place of the carboard and put woofers (2
x 10") in there. I made wood panels for the quarters to replace the back
side panels and put 6 1/2" woofers in there.

For my 16V, I put all 4 in the rear deck. With a CD changer, KEF satellites
and old school Hifonics amps with active crossovers, it was pretty kickass
for 1988. Clean, loud and tight.

The tubes are very space-efficient. Get the biggest, cleanest amp you can
afford and you'll reduce your chances of blowing them out.......but you have
to move lots of air to get real bass and many tubes just don't cut it.

as you all know it is imposibble to put large subs back there that would not
take up half of the trunk. Because of this I wondered if enyone had ever
used those Basooka Bass Tubes like this one:
