It could be an '84 Wolfie as they were available in white. 
However, the white Wolfsburgs had color keyed mirror
housings and bumpers, as well as white door card inserts,
white cloth seats and white tarantula-style wheels.  I'm
not sure if the '84 Wolfsburgs had the small tank or not,
I've usually only seen them with the big tank.  Most white
'84s that I've seen have a blue cloth interior, although I
guess leather was an option at the time so that could be
too.
