Fox question

Had an '88 for a couple of years until it got sandwiched in a construction zone. Feels a lot like driving an unmodified A1. Most of the maintenance concerns are the same and some of the parts are interchangeable. Of course the major difference is that the engine is turned 90 degrees and the chassis is of Audi origin. Got great gas mileage though I can't recall an exact figure. Some models use a restrictor in the exhaust to improve fuel economy but I'm not sure that this applies to a '93. $600 sounds like a good deal as long as the engine and body is in decent shape.

Subject: Fox question

Does anyone have experience with Fox's. I am looking for a fuel efficient cheap car for work and ran across a 93 4 door for 600 obo. What engine do they have and are there any specific things to look for.

thanks
