OT - b3 16v passat issues - the saga continues

naah, whatever gave you that idea?? :)

perfectly. the fuel pump is able to generate so much discharge pressure that 
it burst the rubber fuel line (in place originally to jumper around the old 
rusted accumulator).

i did a visual on all of the fuel lines once the whole over-pressure thing 
started happening. everything was in good condition.

some of the line terminators (near the rear pump assembly) were rusted 
pretty badly (where they go from plastic hard line to rubber). i managed to 
do the swap without making these connectors worse than they already were. if 
they give me any trouble in the future i'll swap in the lines you sent me.

from what i've seen on the list lately, megasquirt and its variants seem to 
be the better route anyhow. for me, the wifes passat just isnt worth that 
much headache. i only need it to run correctly without threat of gasoline 
fueled fireballs coming out from under the car / hood.
