Notching the piston for power

My dad has already done this mod on his air-cooled head for the bus....he
said he's already noticed increased power at the lower rpm band and that
it's steadier.


That's the only thing I remember about the conversation....he has a tendency
to rattle on sometimes and I kinda lost interest when my girlfriend walked
by....
