Well, it's slow, so I thought I'd report in.
The tally today :
1990 Jetta: Failed attempt at starter removal.
(Do I care? This it the kid's famed "POS" and it's parked in the dog's
toilet, so no. Adding to the pleasure was a bunch of AC crap in the way,
as if the car could get any slower)

1988 Cabby: Routine oil change, no issues

1979 Rocc: New plugs and wires, did it cure the miss? No clue, not
optimistic

New thermostat housing and lower rad hose- last time I bought these parts?
Oh that would be last week for the Cabby (they don't talk though, right?)
So far no leaks...

Oil and filter, should be routine, but...remember me quoting the "Theme
from Hair"? (A home for the fleas, a hive for the buzzing bees...) I did't
mean it literally. I'm under the car, and hear this weak buzzing sound
coming from beside my eye, of course I'm so nearsighted (with bifocals no
less) that I can only make out this fuzzy wasp-shaped mass walking on my
hair. So what to do? Lay down and crush the sucker in place with my trusty
3/8 drive. And pick it out of my hair, ewww. Then I got all sidetracked
and eventually started the car to check for leaks, but it can't leak
unless you put the oil back in. Yeah, I'm an idiot. (It only ran a few
seconds before my brain clicked back on)

And some more dicking around with the speedo cable, but no driving today,
the road is a quagmire.

1987 Rocc: Put on the new mask, and knocked all the ceramic out of the old
cat, it'll go back on shortly.

So it was a good day of piddly stuff, I know there are lots of big
projects happening today, but at the moment my engines both run, so no
swaps here. Piddly will have to do.
