cam lift (was char-broiled...)



IIRC it can be done, but you don't really need to measure it as it is a
known figure:

VW 8V solid camshafts have 38 mm base circle.
VW 8V hydro camshafts have 34 mm base circle.

But I'd hate to correct you. :-)
