i think there also should be a little blurb about my buddy in london that has as 2.0 8vT scirocco with 15" castellets. has has a custom manifold, ABA block, pretty decent turbo, running SDS. good stuff. especially considering the turbo scene isnt nearly as large over there with our cars

Oh and speaking of bad taste, that Scirocco had chrome side view mirrors,
just like these '60s style fender mount mirrors:

Oh well, but it had a 1.8T motor in it. :-P
