suspension question

Well typically yes, bumpers are a good thing. But these had the 'compression mod' done to them, so they aren't about to absorb anything. Plus, with them compressed they were jammed into my fender flares and I worried about damaging them.

As for the suspension, rears are adjustable. After taking a 2nd look, I think the driver's rear shock is just screwed up. Both shocks are loosened all the way. The driver's side spring is completely uncompressed and the shock doesn't have as much travel as the pass. side. The car is bouncing at low speeds because it's just hopping on that uncompressed race spring. I think both shocks will have to be pulled off and made sure they are equally adjusted. For now, I put about 50lbs on that corner and it eases the bouncing some.

Subject: suspension question

I guess people missed my question with everything else I posted. I removed
the rear bumper from my new mk1 and now the rear end bobs going down the
road. I have fully adjustable Koni Yellows and Neuspeed Race Springs. I'm
thinking I need to increase damping and decrease compression. How do I
actually adjust the shocks?

Dan

Re: bumper removal

Why? Rear bumpers are a good thing...

It sounds like the Konis are turned all the way out, CCW.

Turn the adjuster clockwise to soften it up...

Do you have the rear external adjustables too?

Peter
