The kind of folks I work with...



the crown is simply the angle of the lane.  if you
drive in the left lane, the crown is to the left.  so
the car would tend to go left.  it's just gravity. 
but i have heard that front drive cars are designed so
that if the wheels spin, the car will slide to the
right, so as not to go into oncomming traffic.  this
could also simply be from the crown on the road.
