Alternator question



I can't recall there being a wire that goes to that 'W' connection you mentioned, it seems like I had the same confusion about that when I did mine...  You do have a blue exciter wire connected to it though, right?  If so, the alt. might be a little lazy.  Mine does this too, and has for the three years I have had it.  BUT, I only have to rev. it to about 1.8K...
