MK1 Engine removal shortcuts?

nope, it was hauled off to the junkyard in the back of a van (cut to fit):

unfortunately it was in a wreck which didnt look bad from the outside, but 
did major damage to the pass side frame rail:

the rear was straight, and therefore was used for a trailer:

if i didnt already have the 8v to make into the twin, i would have used that 
car, as i was chopping off the front end anyhow, but in the end the 8v was 
much cleaner / straighter / rust free.
