Maybe cause most of the people driving Sciroccos never knew what a brand new one was like. If you
don't maintain a car it goes downhill. It takes a conscientous effort to keep them in shape and most
people don't know how or want to make the effort (Cathy being the biggest exception!). After 3
owners and that kind of care they're pretty much junk!
I bought my 16V 3 years ago thinking it was in pretty good shape. $6000 later, and doing all my own
labor, I can still just barely stand driving it. If I was to sell it I'd want crazy money for it!
