was 87 16V (not mine), now seat repair

Speaking of 16v seats. Mine is still broken in the laid back position.
Any instructions on how to remedy it?? My back hurts. =(

Seat back upholstery can be swapped but the lever (and slit) for the
seat tilt will be inboard. 
No biggie for me, I just cut the cable anyway.
