Interest in NEW Mk 1 Rocker Panels? [+Cincy questions and myintroduction]

Hi, first off, just wanted to say I'm a new Scirocco owner and just
joined the list. Car's a 1980 that I picked up for 600 bucks in
Virginia (near where I go to school) and drove back to Kentucky (home).
It has a Scirocco S interior, 83 GTI 8V and GTI suspension swapped in by
various previous owners (there have been 4, I believe). My plans are
basically to completely restore it. Not quite a full strip down and
rebuild exactly, but hopefully close. While I'm at it the car will see
a fair amount of custom fabrication inside and out. Mechanicals will
actually wait for now for the most part.

Anyways, I'm seeing a lot about "Cincy" and I've seen the pictures on
Scirocco.org of the 2003 meet in cincy, but I'm not seeing any info on
another. Can someone please direct me to information? I'm in
Louisville, KY so it's not far. Unfortunately I've got a broken leg
right now so I'm not able to drive, but I might be able to convince
someone to chauffeur ;)

Finally, what exactly does a rocker panel consist of? I'm replacing a
bit of metal around the bottom to fix rust holes, so this could be
useful to me. I've also got a kamei widebody kit with side skirts going
on soon, though, so I'm not sure what exactly the best route would be.

I was going to wait until Cincy (OMG, less than a week!) to
get a gauge of interest, but I'll go ahead with it now.

In one of my recent acquisitions (the '77), I scored a set
of brand new, never installed rocker panels for the Mk1
Sciroccos. My first thoughts with these would be to see if
they could be duplicated. I would like to know if there's
much interest in doing this. I have a candidate for one
set, and it looks like Andy does too.

Thoughts?
