notes on 2-way radios...



As far as I have been able to tell, Chan 5 is the same frequency no matter what the maker of the radios are. Also, since the radios only have a range of around 2mi I don't think that the official Scirocco channel really matters. Go with whatever channel works best for your caravan.

I, and a few others, will have Motorolas, will they work on the network as those? Also, mine, nor Tony's (Neptuno), do not have sub channels (are these the same as Interference Eliminator Codes?). How can we connect if others are using this feature that we don't have? In my manual, it says that for others who have the IECs to connect and talk to me, they must have their IEC set on 0 (zero).

Any ideas or comments (other than "buy some new ones"?)
