Front-end vibration?

some stuff to check (as i've been in a continuous battle with the riegers
front end for a year now):

- tires out of round? (possible if its been sitting for a while, especially
if the air was low during that period).
- wheels - hubcentric? (if you have spacers for hubcentricity, do they fit
VERY snug?)
- wheels - out of round? (can spin on a spare rear axle to examine - if
you've got one lying about)
- bent hub? (same as above for result)
- wheels - out of balance? (pretty much a tire shop issue there, unless you
want to vacuum-drag some of that balance compound that they use on trucks
into there)
- inner cv's? can cause a sideways shudder type of feel that seems to come
from the engine mounts. usually more pronounced when accelerating hard (but
not necessarily, depending on how the joint is failing).
- tie rods are a possibility, but you would likely feel the vibration in the
wheel, and realize tie rods will only amplify a vibration thats already
there (so you still have to find the root cause).
