Clutch cable adjustment

Ok put it to bed adjustmet is like this

Cable Base ___l___
                            < l
12mm < l
                            < l
Flange on Trans_ _<___l_________

On the manual cable adjustment you lift the cable housing by hand and measure the gap between the large cable base and the ear or flange that the cable goes through. The gap should be 12mm, I have found that a 1/2 head bolt is perfect tool to measure with.

I hope this helps.

IIRC, Bentley says 10mm movement at the top of the clutch pedal throw. As far
as the amount of threads showing, that will be entirely dependent on the
amount of wear on the clutch, and the cable... If it feels right (with the
above guidelines in mind), drive it...
