tranny swap question

The earlier style case halves in the FF/FN/2h series transaxles may be
lacking the holes in the casting to accomondate the A2 rear mount. I have
not confirmed this myself, having only ever installed later style cases
(4K/7A) in A2's.

Check the three holes that the rear mount bracket on the Jetta bolt to -
they're on the back half of the diff case in the neighbourhood of where
the studs are on the A1 case. Check to see if those holes are on the FF.
If they are, you're away - simply swap over all mounts and linkages from
the AGS. If not, then I can get you a replacement.
