More as an aside for those that might be curious regarding how the 
mailing list software
copes...

The scirocco list handling software blocks attachments, HTML, and 
scans for potential
spam and viruses even coming from subscribed members.  Oh, and it 
also blocks all
emails 100% from email addresses that aren't subscribed.  I'd be hard 
pressed to
name more then 1 or 2 times a virus type deal made it through to the 
list.  Remember
those crappy days of allowing people to post in HTML?  Yeech, for a 
while I was filtering
it out completely, but the new mail handler had the ability to 
convert HTML -> text...
that's what we do now.

Anyway, it's a good idea to make sure you're clean and scan your 
system for virus programs
as well as spyware.  It'll cut down on the roughly 40-50% of email 
traffic on the net which is
spam / viruses.

Also note that whomever the virus infested message appears to be from...
is very likely not who it is really from.
