Poor running question

The car idles great. It is the going from idle to moving. When the
accelerator is depressed from a stop, I can push it to the floor with very
little response from the motor. It stutters like it is trying to respond to
the throttle, but there is just not much there. When the car is cold, no
problem. Full tank, no problem. And usually only in first and second.

This is a 2.0L 16V. It ran good before the swap and has run good since. I
don't remember if I had this problem before the swap, but if I did, it
wasn't as noticeable as it is now.

Thanks,

Dave

I know that the transfer pumps (the one in the fuel tank) are notorious for
crapping out. It is possible that is the problem. In the two I have
replaced, however, it would cut out regardless of RPM. Does the car shake
or buck at all? If a cylinder doesn't fire, it will throw off the balance of
the engine and cause it to vibrate. If it happens at idle, pop the hood and
start pulling plug wires to see if there is a change in RPM. If there is no
change when you pull a plug wire, that is your dead cylinder.
