Ghost Dog Tool sighting

Boy, I'd make a lousy Samurai. I'd be losing my katana all the time, and using it for stuff it shouldn't be used for: I think the handle would make a decent hammer when my real hammer (rarely used) is out of reach. I'd be stripping wires with the blade and stuff... maybe use it for prying stubborn alternators out of their mounts. Yeah, the other samurai would definitely kick my ass for being such a loser.

In Scirocco related news: Pulling tires off from rims is a lousy job when you don't have one of those big, fancy machines to do it for you. Boy, I'd love to have one of those things. Anyone have any idea how much used ones go for?

It's about a foot long and the inner shaft (part that goes into the handle when you push) has grooves cut in it like the inside of a rifle barrel, but on the outside, not the inside. They go both ways (screwing and unscrewing). He's had it for as long as I can remember.

A katana is curved (this offers more cutting ability, with less effort) and the edge is on the outside of the curve. Katanas are to be carried with the edge facing up. Ghost Dog does the opposite. A big no-no. The reason for carrying it edge up is so the edge does not rest on the inside of the saya (scabbard) and therefor does not dull from just sitting in it. The way he carried it, the edge would dull. No selfrespecting samurai would do this, not even the bad ones. The katana is their tool of the trade, their defense against everything, their soul. They won't even let the blade touch the ground (would you toss your soul into mud or let the gravel scar it?). I could go on and on, but I won't and I'm sure some think I already have. :P

I'd like to get one of these, but I don't know what they are really called. I just got finished looking at a bunch of regular or electric screwdrivers when I did my search.
