It's tOsha, with a long 'O'.  As in TOE-sha. (It's not Russian nor 
Japanese).

  wouldn't mind some feed back on the procedure, I wrote it up in a dash 
and there is at least one type in the text anyway.

I really, really like the Vinyl & Rubber Restore application idea. Soak, 
and sit and soak some more. You can clean up the glass later, but I 
wouldn't let it sit on the paint too long, who knows.

The rubber is bound to have lost some of it's flexible components over 
the years so follow David's "Have Patience Grasshopper" advice, it can 
only help.
