overheating..SOLUTIONS TO THIS P.I.T.A. COOLING SYSTEM FILLER??

Nicely described, personally I don't like to drive my car when I purge
air/cycle it

I rev it at 2500 RPM for like 10 mins... Gets all bubbles out, and
circulates plenty the flow of coolant.

->Our early cars don't have the Coolant Expansion bottle setup;
->your system has the coolant flow though the exp. bottle, right?
->
->In the early cars the main tips are:
->
->- Consider small hole in the face of the t-stat. I like the
->small is good, 1/16" sounds fine. The new hole goes in the
->flat part that moves, not the outer edge that remain stationary.
->
->- Open the Heater Control to full HOT (fan setting is not
->critical, might as well leave the fan off.)
->
->- Fill Coolant System via upper Rad Hose in the top of Engine Block.
->
->- Seal it all up, top off the coolant via Radiator cap.
->
->- Run motor with cap off Radiator for now, checking level. As
->coolant heats up the t-stat will open allowing the coolant
->level to lower. (Yes, I know we drilled a hole, still).
->
->- Top off again and close Radiator. With heater setting to
->HOT, drive around the block a time or two. We want coolant
->flow and we want the Rad Fan to come on.
->
->- Back at base camp we let the motor & coolant cool off, and
->later check and top off as necessary.
->
->Over the next few days bubbles will continue to gather and
->'burping' the motor will be necessary.
