soldering 4 ga copper wire?

I relocated my battery to the trunk and I'm using 4ga wires for power and
ground. The way you put the ring connectors to the wires via soldier is
like this:

Put the Ring terminal in a vice clamp with the 4ga in the ring and use a
torch to heat the terminal up. have a friends start feeding the soldier
wire into the terminal. As it feeds in the soldier will MELT instantly from
the heat of terminal. when it starts to slow down melting heat the terminal
up again with the torch. That's how I soldiers my wires in on my 16v
scirocco.
