2.0l block



A short block is the lower section only with out the head. I paid $650 US 
for a rebuilt block and spent almost $550 on the head to prep the engine. Do 
I think it was worth the trouble? Well, I no longer hold the title for the 
"Rocc with the least HP".  :)

A new 9A block is about 135 hp + 10 hp for the 1.8 head. Sooo about 145 HP 
instead of 50? Scotch guard is wonderful!

The 9A block will fit in a MKI for sure.
IIRC the ABA (8V) is a bit taller (physically) if that is what you mean.
