Do you have a cat converter on your Scirocco?

So I'm thiking of buying a downpipe which bypasses the catalytic 
converter for my 16v ... has anyone on the list gotten this done? I'm a 
bit skeptical because I need to get my car reinspected soon and Im 
suspecting that it won't pass emissions without the cat. Are there 
noticeable performance gains, and is there a way to get it to pass 
emissions temporarily?
