For me, if the car is moving, then the head lights are on.  24 / 7.  I like making myself more visible to the idiots out there who don't pay much attention to what's going on around them.

In Ontario the law is half hour before sunset through half-hour after
sunrise, or when there is insufficient light or adverse atmospheric
conditions.

Of course, you guys haven't figured out this whole DRL thing either, so
nothing would surprise me... :)
