Oil pump pick-up tube diverter (wing)

Yes, that's the reason for it.

I recommend using the 2L16V plastic baffle, it's like a windage tray, and it
snaps onto any 8V/16V oil pump.

Subject: Oil pump pick-up tube diverter (wing)

Is this little "wing" located at the end of the oil pumps' pick-up tube
really neccessary to keep oil at the tube during hard corning?

Is it there for some other unexplained reason?

Any coment from the gallery?

Thanks
