(Vent) Autobahn going the way of the dinosaur?

 Your observations agree with mine. I spent considerable time in Germany
in the early '80's and did not return until '95 and again in 2002. The
change there is as vast as it's been here. The volume of traffic has
increased exponentially, the number of vehicles capable of traveling at
speed hasn't really changed but the number of drivers living in the left
lane has gone up. It's the same problem as we have here, i.e., lack of
lane discipline.

I will not say that the perp in question is blameless, but the victim
driving the KIA in question probably wasn't as aware as she could have
been. 

I certainly hope that the cooler heads prevail and that Germany doesn't
dumb down the A-Bahn.
