Easy horsepower...

  All this talk about the cavities in the A1s reminds me of a very simple
mod I did that netted me a few ponies...
  It is almost silly, but you will never know until you look...  My mechanic
noticed that I did not have full throttle when I should have...  In the
rabbits, and more than likely in the Sciroccos (memory is fading, and ETKA
does not show one obvious-like), there is a stop underneath the accelerator
pedal that prevents you from mashing the pedal to the carpet...  As it turns
out in my case, that little bastard stopped me from having full throttle!  I
lost about a 1/3 of movement from that thing...  I removed it, and adjusted
the pedal so that closed and open throttle both were where they should be,
and VOILA, mo' power!  I would recommend having someone look at the T-Body
for you while you see where the pedal is, you can get a better idea of what
is going on instead of depending on trial and error.
  If anyone actually does discover a problem with theirs, let me know...  I
feel better knowing that my advice is actually helpful...  :)
