02J tranny part pictures was: Re: 350hp with 8vTransmission?02A/02J longevity?

Ron's the tranny meister! I would never pretend to the throne! But, I had the pictures......
The three part synchros are interesting. The parts don't seem to sit down tight on each other like a
one piece synchro does. Wonder if that has anything to do with them being not so effective?

I just know that some people with alot of HP are running the 020's. (and some people with not so
much HP manage to break 020's regularly!) Every part of the 02A/J looks lots stronger so I don't
know. Maybe it's the tooth count thing. There are 02A/Js that have gear ratios with high tooth
counts just like the 020. Or maybe people just think it's normal to drop the clutch in 3rd to see if
they can get scratch!

Yeah, I noticed this too. The good news is I already have the adjustment shims for this bearing from
working on 020s. The bad news is I need to use them!

OH! the 02J (and some 02As) have a really sweet flange arrangement where everything is retained by
an 8mm bolt down the center torqued to a massive 20 ft-lb! No circlips and crap seals!
So, what's the plan for the 02A??
