Scirocco Clutch chatter

I sounds to me like a bad rear main seal.  It soaked your clutch disk, which was possibly already
worn.  I very highly doubt it's your tranny or throwout bearing - neither exhibit this symptom
when they fail.  

Shuddering during takeoff is almost always clutch or tranny mount.  Since the tranny mount is
cheap, easy to replace, and soft (by your admission), I'd replace it first.  Be prepared for a
clutch job though!
