Tightening head bolts on engine stand?



On gas engines, you torque them once to X lbs, next to XX lbs, then turn them 
180 degrees...  They are stretch bolts, so the torque that the head recieves 
from the bolts is not linear.  But I believe that diesels are also stretch 
bolts, aren't they?
