This is just my opinion, but I think the amount of horsepower that an 8V engine will make is limited
by the head. So, going to bigger displacement won't net you much more power if any at all. It'll
just make that power at a lower RPM.
Course torque is generally proportional to displacement for a given engine, so the 2142 will be a
torque monster (in the 2.0L VW world at least ;^)
