Gas tank questions (WTB)

Oh sure, that goes without saying, I'd hoped. With the tank out, it's
pretty easy to fully clean it.

I'd let the gas evaporate, then steam clean the inside with a degreasing
solvent (water based). If there is any fuel odor, it is not clean; do it
again. I'd go the extra step of coating the inside with a tank liner
like POR-15 etc. Then go ahead and braze it.

I've got horror stories about people cutting a hole in an underground
storage tank to "vent" it for transportation; they didn't want to wait
for the dry ice/co2 to inert the tank. Worked well quite a few times,
didn't work well one time...

Oh holy shit - ka-BOOM!! The tank MUST be professionally cleaned before
getting anywhere near it with a torch! ASK ME HOW I KNOW.

Seriously - use extreme caution!
