(2) 1986 Scirocco 16v's for sale, 1 modded, 1 stock, both silver

OK Here's the scoop.... I recieved a phone call the other day from a friend. He is going through a period of transition and needs to sell his Scirocco's. He has 2 Scirocco 16v's. Both are '86. Both are flash silver. Here is the rundown on car #1:

Paint within the last 3 years

Maintenance within the last 25K:
Timing belt, drive belts, front engine seals, waterpump, thermostat and fan switch, valve cover gasket, motor mounts, distributor, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, wheel bearings (front and rear) rotors and pads ( front and rear), shift bushings and rods, reman axles, etc. Transmission (16v) has been rebuilt by Stu Brumer at BSI in the last 2K miles.

Cosmetically the car is very good for the age of the car. The body is very straight , a couple of door dings at most. The paint is shiny, but not show ready - some stone chips, and small cracking around the arches. The eurobumpers have a couple of scrapes, and some peeling paint. The euro lights are in good shape, no broken lenses. The driver's side turn signal lense is broken. The Borbet's are in good shape, at least one has minor curbing. The tires are 75% with even wear.
The interior is very good - doors, carpets, and headliner are all in good shape. The dash is uncracked (RARE!). The Corbeau seats show wear, but are still cosmetically pretty good. A good stock interior comes with the car as well. It is the vinyl/velour 16v interior.
Mechanically the car is very sound with the exception of the clutch. The PO R&R'd the tranny , and didn't replace the clutch. For $250 additional, the PO will have a new sachs clutch kit installed, as well as replace the rear main seal. The motor runs very strong. All brakes, suspension, steering and exhaust are in good shape.

On to car # 2:

http://www.hostdub.com/albums/JeffreyB/DSC00020.sized.jpg

1986 Scirocco 16v, flash silver in color, 5speed, 152K miles, all original except suspension and exhaust. This car was the PO's daily driver. It comes with all parts to make a complete car. The car's transmission is removed at this time. It is a 16v tranny. The PO was going to do a clutch and some other service work, and never got around to it. So this one was running and driving when parked. It needs: clutch, timing belt, water pump, and re-assembly.

The Exterior:
Flash silver, origianl paint showing it's age. The front driver's fender is dinged. Other than that the car is very straight, and rust free.

The Interior:
Nice door cards, carpet, headliner, passenger, and rear seat. Driver's seat show's normal wear. The dash has cracks. Original down to the factory VW cassette radio.

The Mechanicals:
The car is/was solid mechanically, just in need of regular routine maintenance. The car needs a new clutch, and it is time for a new waterpump/timing belt. It has a TT exhaust, and boge struts, and HOR springs, I believe.

Bottom Line on Both cars is the owner would like to sell them together. The prices are NON-Negotiable, and as follows:

$3250 for both as is.
$3500 for both with Car #1 having a new clutch installed
$2750 for Car #1 as is
$3000 for Car #1 with a new clutch
$500 for Car #2
