NEW wheel cylinders leaking

I haven't gotten a chance to pull it apart again yet, so I am also
assuming this right now.

No, and no.  It didn't occur to me to dismantle and apply brake fluid
and/or any kind of paste to new wheel cylinder assemblies.  Is this a
"need to do" or a "nice to do" step?
