The only tire I've ever had that had the flat-spotting problem is a current set of Kumho Ecsta MX 255-45 and 285-40's. Perhaps the high performance/lower profile types are more susceptible ...

  Would it be due to the size or make of tire, maybe a winter tire vs. a high performance?

  Our Bridgestone Potenza's sit for about 6-7 months and we've never encountered flat spots.
