Deleting dealer option AC

I've got the same thing(on a mkII). I asked a while
back about it and got no response (may have been on
vortex?)I just cut the belt and left the extra pulley
on and started dismantling some of it out, still in
that process. Mine is kind of easy as all controls for
the AC were kept seperate from the other HVAC controls
and my heater box is non-AC. A bunch of stuff is under
the passenger side dash for me, with a large panel
covering it all. The wiring in the engine comp't was
relatively easy to follow, except for the fan
thermoswitch. It has been jerry-rigged not very
prettily to run on high with the AC turned on. And of
course be careful with the freon, supposed to have it
vacated professionally.
