16v: how do i keep oil from flooding the distributor?

i know that this is an issue w/ the 16v's. Ive had oil
in my old distributor and i dont want it to happen to
the new one. so what can i do to prevent it? if i
recall, it had something to do w/ drilling a hole in
the head somewhere. 

any detailed instructions will be appreciated.
