WTB/ Look what I screwed up today...

Well, on another quest today, putting in blue led's for my dimly lit 
instrument cluster...easy job right?   Apparently, there is no job too easy 
that I can't ruin...this is not gonna stop me from trying again, but it's 
just getting annoying....  There is a little connector/transisor/something 
between the speedo and the tach that i took off and I must have put it back 
in wrong.... I tried to turn on my lights, and nothing, so i turned them 
off, and turned them on again, tried the little knob that turns them down, 
and then smoke starts rising up....great...

So now is the fun part, i get to spend more money!!  Does anyone have 
another one of those circuits that I can buy?  I'd also like to buy a tach 
as well, when I installed my gauge faces, a screw fell in there, and the 
tach doesn't move more than a quarter of a turn.  Must be VDO as that is the 
original one that is in there.  Price isn't a huge issue, i'm in North 
Western Canada, in Northern Alberta to be more exact.
