Don't forget the early (A1) oil burners. They run a little lower head 
temps I'm given to understand, therefore are less likely to develop cracks.

btw- I have one sitting on the side of the house, how far away is area 
code 94303 from you to consider shipping a piece of cast iron from?

And yes you can interchange most all the early 8v stuff, like retain 
your existing 3 bolt flange enabled CAT.


btw II- There are (sometimes missing) support brackets that hook the 
dual downpipe to the trans/block, be sure to get them as well, other 
wise vibration provide some untimely excitement.
