raspy 16v exhaust

I have a tt cat/downpipe and a straight through magnaflow with no resonator
on my 16v and it is pretty raspy.  I actually miss my stock exhaust.

my bro's 1.6 8v with stock cat, 2.25" piping, and straight through magnaflow
actually sounded pretty good.
