Finally running

OK, you win! Your list of parts is way longer than mine!
I had the entire front end apart and everything that needed it was replaced
or rebuilt or repainted or bead blasted. But, the body, although far from
perfect, is at least complete and the front suspension/steering gear was
mostly good. It did get new H & R's and new shocks.
Course, being the untrusting tightwad that I am, I did all the work myself,
so I have firsthand knowledge of the shitty condition the car was in. Also,
I bought two cars in one deal so I generally had two sets of everything to
pick and choose from.

Well, when I say it's pathetic compared to my 84 you have to remember I'm
the original owner of the 84, it's been maintained from day one, and it's a
lot faster in every way compared to when I bought it. I'll even go out on a
limb and suggest it's the most powerful NA 8v on the list!
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I know how much fun a Scirocco can be and the 16V
isn't there (yet)!
I am starting to have visions of 2.0 (already got the engine), Megasquirt
(two built waiting on the shelf), and ITB's. But, that'll have to wait till
the turbo is done on the 8V ;^)
