cooling problem UPDATED

Makes you want to cry.  Fortunately, at my local Advance, I found out yesterday that the kid behind the counter used to work for a garage (he has some sense) and then, when I said I was looking for an O-ring, part #blah-blah-blah, they looked it up.  "Nope, we don't have it, but you can come back behind the counter and check out the ones we do have to see if one will fit."  Can't beat that!  They didn't have one that was even close, but it was cool that they were willing to do anything to help.  I think, if I need generic parts/tools/etc., they'll be my first choice as far as local goes.  Everyday, I'm finding more reasons to be happy that I moved to the country.  They even speak english at Micky D's!!

He just kept shaking his head, I said can you just look it up on your 
computer. He goes and says nope we just got a radiator cap, I said its the same 
thing he said no its not, I said yes VW's don't have radiator caps they are 
coolant bottle caps, he keeps shaking his head no. Well, I just gave up right 
there and stopped trying to educate because he didn't wanna listen. So I said OK 
just get me the radiator cap then please. Sighhh.......Now I have to go back 
there and get the coolant senser hes probably going to tell me there is no 
coolant sensor on the coolant bottle. LOL
