Odd cooling problem

I've noticed. It's because the car's electrical system is designed to turn the fans on, not because the radiator is getting hotter.
(and where is the thermoswitch for the fan?)
No ignition=no combustion=no more heat output.
Pretty simple, really.
(I figured this would get something started. Just didn't think it would happen this quickly....)
:)

Actually when you stop the engine the temperature will raise. Because
there's nothing to cool the engine, no water flow inside. Haven't you
noticed that after you cut the engine the fan start working foar a minute or
  two?

Once the engine is off, the source of heat is gone and temperatures start to
  drop, not rise.
  Think about it.

When the car is running, the system is presurized and is also moving and
being cooled, so it behaves. Once the car is off, the coolent isn't
flowing anymore so it isn't being cooled. This causes a rise in
temerpature of the coolent and a rise in pressure since as things heat
up, they tend to expand. Since the cap appears to be faulty with higher
pressures, it's allowing the system to puke at higher pressure levels.

How's that for ya, a bit technical, but without all the big words that
make me sound like I know what I'm talking about? Hope that helps.
