PF vs. RD (heads only) Now with content!

Your right! If you have CIS and are planning to install a high compression
motor then you need to rob the knock sensor stuff off of a CIS based system
as the knock sensor system is integrated into the Digi system. If you know
the RD head is in good shape then you could use the RD head and install the
Digi injector cups (Dan Bubb says they're only a couple bucks a piece) or
just use a PF head with the Digi cups already in them. The heads are the
same other than the injector cups (AFAIK) so it basically comes down to
price now, I guess. HTH!!

> Well, the thing is, I was told by 3 different seemingly knowledgable
people (on the 'tex though, so you never can be certain...) that the knock
sensor stuff required for the RD head HAS to be CIS-E. Besides that, I have
CIS in my mk1 now to begin with, so one way or another I'll have to convert
wiring. I would prefer to only rewire the car once, so it'll be either CIS-E
or digi, not CIS-E now and digi later. So, is it true the knock sensor stuff
has to be from a CIS-E car? Otherwise, an RD head with digi stuff seems like
the best of both worlds to me.
