megasquirt



Yeah, the hardware ( injectors, fuel rail, FPR, coolant temp sensor, air
temp sensor, O2 sensor, TPS) can be the same between digi 1 and MS, bearing
in mind that MS is fuel only.
The electronics that controls it all is different, but all the sensor inputs
can be the same. MS is calibrated for common GM temp sensors but can be
recalibrated to work with stock temp sensors.
So, really you're just changing the brain that takes the sensor inputs and
gives the appropriate outputs to the injectors and secondary stuff like idle
solenoids and fuel pumps.
The big difference???? With digi 1 you get a chip and hope it's right for
your engine. With MS you can tune it to your engine!
So, the next question is, do you understand all the tuning parameters
available in MS to tune your engine correctly?
